Our First Married Valentine's Day

Bob and I had a PERFECT first married Valentine's Day together! Bob gave me my Valentine's Day gift that morning before he went to work. I got a TON of new unmentionables from my favorite unmentionables store, Aerie! Then it was off to work for Bob, and down to business for me. There were a couple surprises for Bob that I had to get fresh so I went to the store to pick up some chocolate covered strawberries and balloons before heading home to straighten our bedroom and strategically set up his gifts. I had just enough time to get myself ready for our date before picking Bob up from work at 5. We made a quick stop at the house (Bob wasn't allowed to go downstairs to our room) and then we were off for the night. First, we went to Jordan Commons to watch a movie called Warm Bodies. It's about a zombie who falls in love with a living girl, rescues her from being eaten and slowly starts becoming human again. It spreads to his zombie friends who are now at war with the too-far-gone zombies "bones" or walking, eating skeletons. It was a great movie mixing zombie/action/romance/comedy genres into one movie without looking phony or stupid. After cuddling in the theatre, we walked out to our car where Bob managed to drop our popcorn bucket and spill all the rest of our popcorn all over the parking lot! It was pretty hilarious! Next stop, Rodizio Grill at Trolley Square for our nice romantic Valentine's dinner. We were lucky that I thought ahead and made a reservation for us since there was an almost a 2 hour wait even at 8:30! We walked right in though, and began to eat all the delicious food! I tried really hard to save room for dessert, but unfortunately I'm a carnivore and if you've ever been to a Brazilian Grill, you know there are endless selections of meat! When our server brought out our check, he also brought me a single, beautiful long stem, red rose! Finally Bob and I headed home, where Bob finally got to see all the gifts I had gotten for him and we went to bed. ;) I can't wait to see what our many Valentine's Days to come are like, but they have quite a wonderful day to compete with!

PS- One year ago today, Bob took me to a wonderful dinner at Carver's Steakhouse before getting down on one knee to ask me to be his wife. Obviously I said yes, and I'm happier and happier each day that I did. I love you hubby! Thank you for making me the happiest wife on the planet!
